Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

PENERAPAN PERSAMAAN GEOTERMOMETER (SiO2)p DI LAPANGAN PANAS BUMI SULI, AMBON
Suli hot springs area has a low level of acidity or neutral pH ranges (7,2–7,7). It is also supported by a high chloride concentration value, which ranges (208,87-226,27) ppm. This shows that the area on station 1, 2, 3, and 4 are located in areas with

Perturbations to body temperature affect almost all cellular processes and, within certain limits, results in minimal effects on overall physiology. Genetic mutations to ion channels, or channelopathies, can shift the fine homeostatic balance resulting in a decreased threshold to temperature induced disturbances.

Material constitutive behaviour and microstructure study on aluminium alloys for friction stir welding [PDF]
The material constitutive behaviour and microstructure of Aluminium alloys 6082 and 7449 were studied with the Gleeble hot compression test. The novel aspect of the work is that the testing was done at high strain-rates and at temperatures within 5 K ...

This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

This paper introduces a novel technique to measure indoor ambient air temperature using the battery temperature sensor found on typical smartphones. We develop physics-based models to predict ambient air temperature that consider the many warming and cooling scenarios faced by phones and account for the excess heat generated by smartphone components ...

Blowing Hot and Cold: Body Temperature and the Microbiome
The intestinal microbiome influences host health, and its responsiveness to diet and disease is increasingly well studied. However, our understanding of the factors driving microbiome variation remain limited.

The 'gated-diode' configuration in MOSFET's, a sensitive tool for characterizing hot-carrier degradation [PDF]
This paper describes a new measurement technique, the forward gated-diode current characterized at low drain voltages to be applied in MOSFET's for investigating hot-carrier stress-induced defects at high spatial resolution.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.
