Hotspot analysis for integrated multi-infrastructure asset management
ABSTRACT Urban infrastructure, important for societal functioning, faces challenges from aging assets and increasing service demands. Traditional asset management practices, often conducted in silos, fail to address the interconnected nature of these systems, leading to inefficiencies and heightened system failure risks.

From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

This work presents a continuous linear gradient catalyst layer design, a general strategy for improving membrane electrode assemblies across electrochemical devices. Fabricated via a dual‐nozzle spray coating method, the architecture controls the Pt/carbon ratio, ionomer content and ionomer type across the catalyst layer, enhancing proton conduction ...

In situ TEM uncovers the atomic‐scale mechanisms underlying hydrogen‐driven γ‐Fe2O3→Fe3O4→FeO reduction. In γ‐Fe2O3, oxygen vacancies cluster around intrinsic Fe vacancies, leading to nanopore formation, whereas in Fe3O4, vacancy aggregation is suppressed, preserving a dense structure.
