Human Bone Typing Using Quantitative Cone-Beam Computed Tomography
Introduction: Bone typing is crucial to enable the choice of a suitable implant, the surgical technique, and the evaluation of the clinical outcome. Currently, bone typing is assessed subjectively by the surgeon.

Grating-based X-ray Dark-field Computed Tomography of Living Mice
Changes in x-ray attenuating tissue caused by lung disorders like emphysema or fibrosis are subtle and thus only resolved by high-resolution computed tomography (CT). The structural reorganization, however, is of strong influence for lung function.

Pleural lipomatosis: A new pose of occult pleura effusion
Intrathoracic benign neoplasm can develop from any tissue; inside the thoracic cavity, however, infrequently, pleural lipomas can be detected, attributable to unusual adipose tissue in the pleural and subpleural layer.

Evaluation of Hounsfield Numbers and Electron Density for a CT Simulator and Their Importance for Radiotherapy Treatments [PDF]
Since its introduction in the early 1970s, computed tomography (CT) has significantly improved accuracy in radiotherapy planning by enhancing geometric volume definitions and dose calculation distributions.

Cold Quad‐Modal Nanocomplex for Precise and Quantitative In Vivo Stem Cell Tracking
Multimodal albumin–bismuth sulfide–superparamagnetic iron oxide (ABS) nanocomplexes are developed for stem cell tracking across four different imaging modalities: MRI, MPI, MSOT, and CT. Combining its flexibility with high sensitivity, this quad‐modal imaging agent enables a robust quantification of ABS‐labeled stem cells in vivo.
