Household's risk attitudes in Indonesian villages

This paper estimates attitudes towards risk using data obtained through interviews of 400 households in villages in Indonesia. Participants were invited to play investment games in order to identify household risk attitudes. The game result supports the hypothesis of non-decreasing partial relative risk aversion.

NORTH DAKOTA HOUSEHOLDS' ATTITUDES TOWARD WETLAND PRESERVATION

Over one-half (57%) of the 1,757 respondents to a random survey of North Dakota households agree that all remaining natural wetlands in the state should be preserved. Nearly two- thirds (63%) of the respondents support compensating landowners for preserving wetlands.

To assess families' experiences with shootings and firearm ownership and attitudes, 208 children aged 5 to 12 years were interviewed and 242 parents filled out a questionnaire, all at an urban hospital. Forty-three percent of the parents and 25% of the children had personal knowledge of shootings.

Abstract In this paper, we disentangle investor sentiment into two components: mood and household attitudes towards the economy. We apply acoustical analysis to the daily top ten of music downloads in iTunes for Germany to derive a novel and direct measure for mood.
