Intelligent thawing household refrigerator
Applied Thermal Engineering, 2015Abstract Quick thawing destroys the taste and some nutrients of frozen foods and their thawing in crisper of normal household refrigerator needs manual operation. Intelligent thawing household refrigerator includes an insulated crisper and several insulated freezers where temperature is controlled respectively by SCM (single-chip microcontroller ...

Compression-injection hybrid refrigeration cycles in household refrigerators
Applied Thermal Engineering, 2010Three different connection forms for refrigerator compression-injection hybrid refrigeration cycles were presented in this paper. The pressure at the connector of the three ejectors and the power consumption were measured, and the performances of the three different connection forms for compressor-jet mixing of the refrigeration cycle were compared ...

HOUSEHOLD MECHANICAL REFRIGERATION
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1930Artificial refrigeration in transportation, in storage and in households in connection with food supplies is a public health achievement of the first magnitude. It is obviously desirable that faulty developments in this important public health field should not defeat its purpose of adding to the well being of human life.

Adaptive temperature control of a household refrigerator
2009 American Control Conference, 2009Temperature control in household refrigerators and freezers is typically operated through simple on-off actuation devices, which limit the obtainable control performance and flexibility and determine a nonlinear behavior of the system. This manuscript describes an adaptive scheme that improves the characteristics of the induced temperature oscillations,

Fan noise reduction of household refrigerator
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1992The authors describe the method of reducing the fan noise, especially the impeller noise, of a household refrigerator. The fan in the refrigerator tested is a propeller fan, and the fan unit consists of an impeller, which has four blades, a rear board, which covers the evaporator, and a front board, which has a number of openings.

Liquid–gas heat exchanger for household refrigerator
International Journal of Refrigeration, 2004This paper considers the influence of heat exchangers to the efficiency of a household refrigerating system. A steady state mathematical model is used to compare three most commonly used heat exchanger designs. For each design, an optimal inner diameter of the heat exchanger, subject to the compressor's capacity and the heat exchanger's length is found.

Noiseless household refrigeration in the eighties?
International Journal of Refrigeration, 1981Abstract Noise is one of the problems associated with household refrigerators. A new generation of hermetic compressors for refrigerators are discussed, and the significance of improvements in noise levels assessed.
