Abstract The hydrothermal synthesis and structure of a coordination polymer Zn(Hpdc)2(H2O)2]·2H2O were reported. The Zn2+ center was coordinated by two waters and two chelated Hpdc− to form units [Zn(Hpdc)2 (H2O)2] and the units were connected by hydrogen bonds to engender one-dimensional channels through the c axis.
