Search for double beta decay of $^{136}$Ce and $^{138}$Ce with HPGe gamma detector
Search for double $\beta$ decay of $^{136}$Ce and $^{138}$Ce was realized with 732 g of deeply purified cerium oxide sample measured over 1900 h with the help of an ultra-low background HPGe $\gamma$ detector with a volume of 465 cm$^3$ at the STELLA ...

Sorption is a well‐known method for radionuclide removal, but the high cost of synthetic sorbents constrains its application. This study investigates the potential of locally sourced diatomite from Kariandusi, Kenya, as a cost‐effective sorbent for capturing barium (Ba), cobalt (Co) and zinc (Zn) from radioactive liquid waste.

HPGe-Compton Net: a physics-guided CNN for fast gamma spectra analysis via Compton region learning
High-purity germanium (HPGe) detectors have been golden standard for gamma spectrometry in low-level radioactive waste (LLW) analysis; however, their notable shortcoming is prolonged measurement durations for weak radioactive waste materials. The present

Study on Calibration Method of γ Spectrometer for BNCT Treatment
Limited by the characteristics of the boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) treatment beam, it is difficult to measure the γ ray energy spectrum of the source term. There are few relevant work has been carried out.

PHITS Benchmarking for HPGe Detector Efficiency
Abstract Particle and Heavy Ion Transport code System (PHITS) validation for gamma-ray detector efficiency evaluation was performed. A coaxial type, 280 cm3 high-purity Ge (HPGe) detector efficiency that was measured in previous experiments and calculated by Cyltran and MCNP was simulated by PHITS Ver. 2.82.

Decommissioning Cost Estimate for the Ghana Research Reactor‐1 Facility Using the CERREX‐D2 Software
The Ghana Research Reactor‐1 facility would certainly be decommissioned, either at the end of its life or by a decision to discontinue its operation. In planning for GHARR‐1’s eventual decommissioning, estimating the overall decommissioning cost is a major activity that needs to be undertaken to support budgeting and decision‐making for the project. To

Broad Energy HPGe Gamma Spectrometry for Dose Rate Estimation for Trapped Charge Dating
Gamma-ray spectrometry has been widely used in various environmental and natural sciences by its ability to determine the concentrations of each radionuclide of the samples, and also because of the easiness in sample preparation and measurement ...
