HPLC–DAD method for comprehensive quality control of Semen Strychni [PDF]
Semen Strychni is the seed of Strychnos nux-vomica L. (Loganiaceae). Its quality control procedure remains an issue since previous reports only focused on Strychnos alkaloids. To the best of our knowledge, chlorogenic acid (a phenolic acid) and loganin (an iridoid glycoside) are selected for the first time as marker constituents of quality control for ...

HPLC-DAD Evidence of the Oscillatory Chiral Conversion of Phenylglycine [PDF]
Previous studies by the authors have used thin-layer chromatography to demonstrate the ability of chiral low molecular weight carboxylic acids to undergo spontaneous oscillatory chiral conversion in abiotic (aqueous and nonaqueous) solutions. General mechanisms of this conversion were proposed, taking into account the enol/enolate anion intermediary ...

Determination of estrogens in drinking water using HPLC-DAD [PDF]
An analytical procedure for determination of estriol, 17β-estradiol, estrone and 17α-ethinylestradiol in drinking water is presented. The method employs solid phase extraction (SPE) and sample dechlorination as cleanup procedures, followed by ...

Tissue Engineered Human Elastic Cartilage From Primary Auricular Chondrocytes for Ear Reconstruction
Despite over three decades of research, no tissue‐engineered solution for auricular reconstruction in microtia patients has reached clinical translation. The key challenge lies in generating functional elastic cartilage ex vivo. Here, we integrate synergistic cell‐biomaterial strategies to engineer auricular grafts with mechanical and histological ...

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.
