Abstract Radiative‐convective equilibrium (RCE) is particularly well suited for studying tropical deep‐convection, a regime of clouds that contributes some of the highest uncertainties to the estimates of total cloud feedback. In order to perform a comprehensive calculation and decomposition of cloud feedbacks in cloud‐permitting models, previously ...

A review of thermal stress in cattle
Cattle control body temperature in a narrow range over varying climatic conditions. Endogenous body heat is generated by metabolism, digestion and activity. Radiation is the primary external source of heat transfer into the body of cattle. Cattle homeothermy uses behavioural and physiological controls to manage radiation, convection, conduction, and ...

Aiming at the thermal safety and inconsistency caused by the high temperature of lithium‐ion (Li‐ion) battery, a cooling structure embedded with a flat aluminum heat pipe (FAHP) for a Li‐ion battery module is proposed. By considering regionalized thermal radiation, the three‐dimensional thermal model of the FAHP module is established.

Pseudo-slow-fast atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia: Is the fast pathway a criminal or innocent bystander? [PDF]
The intracardiac electrograms are shown during scanned single premature ventricular extrastimuli with a decreasing coupling interval in a very short RP tachycardia. What is the diagnosis and is the fast pathway essential for sustaining the tachycardia?

Collisionless reconnection using Alfvén wave radiation resistance [PDF]
Patchy magnetic reconnection involves transient field-aligned current filaments. The spatial localization, transient time-dependence, and orientation of these current filaments means they must radiate torsional Alfvén waves. Radiation of wave energy does

V diskusi o počátcích našich vrcholně středověkých hradů byl vysloven názor, že rané stadium hradu v našich podmínkách představují románské tribunové kostely se západní věží.

Exceptional points in a passive strip waveguide. [PDF]
Abstract Exceptional points (EPs) in non‐Hermitian systems have attracted significant interest due to their unique behaviors, including novel wave propagation and radiation. While EPs have been explored in various photonic systems, their integration into standard photonic platforms can expand their applicability to broader technological domains.

Stavební vývoj a dispozice předhradí hradu Skály : příspěvek k poznání předhradí menších hradů

Long Josephson Tunnel Junctions with Doubly Connected Electrodes [PDF]
In order to mimic the phase changes in the primordial Big Bang, several "cosmological" solid-state experiments have been conceived, during the last decade, to investigate the spontaneous symmetry breaking in superconductors and superfluids cooled through
