Polynomial Optimization with Real Varieties [PDF]
We consider the optimization problem of minimizing a polynomial f(x) subject to polynomial constraints h(x)=0, g(x)>=0. Lasserre's hierarchy is a sequence of sum of squares relaxations for finding the global minimum. Let K be the feasible set.

New criteria for self-adjointness and its application to Dirac-Maxwell Hamiltonian [PDF]
We present a new theorem concerning a sufficient condition for a symmetric operator acting in a complex Hilbert space to be essentially self-adjoint. By applying the theorem, we prove that the Dirac Maxwell Hamiltonian, which describes a quantum system ...

Konzumácia mäsa na hradoch v novoveku : prípadová štúdia z hradu Dobrá Niva
Cieľom príspevku je predstaviť a interpretovať faunálne pozostatky z archeologického výskumu predhradia NKP Hrad Dobrá Niva v katastrálnom území obce Podzámčok, okres Zvolen. Analýzou osteologického materiálu bola zistená veľká rozmanitosť druhov zvierat

Simulation of Jahn-Teller-Dicke Magnetic Structural Phase Transition with Trapped Ions [PDF]
We study theoretically the collective E$\otimes$e Jahn-Teller-Dicke distortion in a system of trapped ions. We focus in the limit of infinite range interactions in which an ensemble of effective spins interacts with two collective vibrational modes with ...

The Dirac point electron in zero-gravity Kerr--Newman spacetime [PDF]
Dirac's wave equation for a point electron in the topologically nontrivial maximal analytically extended electromagnetic Kerr--Newman spacetime is studied in a zero-gravity limit; here, "zero-gravity" means $G\to 0$, where $G$ is Newton's constant of ...

Off‐Grid Solar Systems: An Experimental Work and Systematic Techno‐Economic Analysis
In the study mentioned above, experimental monitoring and economic evaluation of two off‐grid PV systems were conducted using a low‐cost data logger. The results suggest that basic DC systems are economically feasible compared to grid power, but that AC systems require further cost‐cutting to achieve financial viability.

Complementarity Endures: No Firewall for an Infalling Observer
We argue that the complementarity picture, as interpreted as a reference frame change represented in quantum gravitational Hilbert space, does not suffer from the "firewall paradox" recently discussed by Almheiri, Marolf, Polchinski, and Sully. A quantum

Baryogenesis from `electrogenesis' in a scalar field dominated epoch [PDF]
Scalar fields can play a dominant role in the dynamics of the Universe until shortly before nucleosynthesis. Examples are provided by domination by a kinetic mode of a scalar field, which may be both the inflaton and the late time `quintessence', and ...
