On the Progenitor of the Type IIb Supernova 2016gkg [PDF]
We present a detection in pre-explosion Hubble Space Telescope (HST) imaging of a point source consistent with being the progenitor star of the Type IIb supernova (SN IIb) 2016gkg. Post-explosion imaging from the Keck Adaptive Optics system was used to perform relative astrometry between the Keck and HST imaging.

Stellar Metallicities and Gradients in the Isolated, Quenched Low-mass Galaxy Tucana
We measure the metallicities of 374 red giant branch (RGB) stars in the isolated, quenched dwarf galaxy Tucana using Hubble Space Telescope narrowband (F395N) calcium H and K imaging.

Supernova 1998bw - The final phases
The probable association with GRB 980425 immediately put SN 1998bw at the forefront of supernova research. Here, we present revised late-time BVRI light curves of the supernova, based on template images taken at the VLT.

Satellites of satellites: the power of combining HST photometry and Gaia
In the prevailing Lambda Cold Dark Matter cosmology, galaxies grow continuously in mass through hierarchical assembly of smaller systems, and dark matter halos host substructures down to the resolution limit of the simulations. Hierarchical evolution should occur at all scales, implying that the satellites of the Milky Way should also have companions ...

J-band Red Giant Branch Tip Magnitudes for the Distance Indicator [PDF]
The tip of the red giant branch is one of the widely used distance measurement methods for the relatively nearby galaxies where the bright individual stars are resolved. Most of the earlier works have used the Photometry in the I-band such as HST ACS/WFC F814W or F850LP for the RGB tip method.

HST Observations of Globular Clusters in M31.I:Surface Photometry of 13 Objects
We present the initial results of a study of globular clusters in M31, using the Faint Object Camera (FOC) on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). The sample of objects consists of 13 clusters spanning a range of properties. Three inde- pendent image deconvolution techniques were used in order to compensate for the optical problems of the HST, leading to ...

The Panchromatic Hubble Andromeda Southern Treasury (PHAST) is a large 195-orbit Hubble Space Telescope program imaging ∼0.45 deg ^2 of the southern half of M31's star-forming disk at optical and near-ultraviolet (NUV) wavelengths.

Classical T Tauri Stars (CTTSs) are highly variable stars that possess gas- and dust-rich disks from which planets form. Much of their variability is driven by mass accretion from the surrounding disk, a process that is still not entirely understood.
