Rapid Joule‐Heating‐Induced Non‐Equilibrium Exsolution in Perovskite Oxides for Enhanced Photothermal CO2 Methanation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Rapid Joule heating induces Ni—Fe exsolution from perovskite oxides, forming Ni–Fe/oxide heterointerfaces that enhance photothermal CO2 methanation activity and selectivity. Achieving selective CO2 methanation under photothermal conditions requires catalysts capable of maintaining non‐equilibrium interfacial states that balance reduction and oxidation ...

A Co‐Self‐Assembled Monolayer With Enhanced Coverage and Defect Passivation for Efficient Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study achieved a co‐self‐assembled monolayer (Co‐SAM) with more uniform coverage on nickel oxide substrates and enhanced passivation of buried interfaces by incorporating 4PABCz into Me‐4PACz. Perovskite solar cells fabricated with this Co‐SAM achieved an efficiency of 26.33% and exhibited enhanced stability. The combination of nickel oxide (NiOx)

Managing Crystallization in Tin‐Lead Perovskite Solar Cells via Differential Chelating Coordination

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A chelation‐mediated crystallization strategy is developed for Sn–Pb perovskites using 1,10‐phenanthroline. Stronger coordination with Sn than Pb helps reconcile their mismatched crystallization behavior, leading to improved crystalline quality, fewer defects, and reduced oxidation.

Kinetic Severity Factor Analysis of HTL and STL of Biomass

open access: yes
Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) and solvothermal liquefaction (STL), HTL with a co-solvent i.e. methanol, reduces biomass to bio-crude oil which can be upgraded to produce petroleum-like products and fuels.

Revisiting Open‐Circuit Voltage in Heterojunction‐Scarce Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
This work establishes an analytic framework based on the interplay between the composition‐driven density of states and geminate recombination for understanding the open‐circuit voltage of bulk heterojunction‐reduced organic solar cells. ABSTRACT Organic solar cells (OSCs) have reached power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) above 21%, yet their market ...

Heteroatom location‐ and orientation mode‐dependent reverse intersystem crossing rate in multiple resonance emitters

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
By constructing two pairs of isomers with different heteroatom anchoring positions, the relationship between heteroatom location and orientation mode and reverse intersystem crossing rate constant (kRISC) in multiple resonance (MR) emitters is systematically investigated.
