Design of B,N Co‐Doped Carbon Spheres for Highly Effective Back Interface Engineering in Planar Carbon‐Based Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
The energy level mismatch of the perovskite/carbon back interface is decreased remarkably by using B, N co‐doped carbon sphere electrode in C‐PSCs, leading to effective charge carrier separation, extraction, and transport at the back interface. Combined with further buried modification using AMPA, the power conversion efficiency of the C‐PSCs is up to ...

Low‐Coordination Solvation Engineering Enables Efficient and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
This work introduces a kind of low‐coordination solvent, dimethyl carbonate (DMC), to replace a part of DMSO and DMF. DMC substitutes a part of DMSO to coordinate with PbI2 to change the chemical environment of PbI2. What is more, DMC promotes the formation of the nucleation of α‐FAPbI3 crystals.

Environmentally Friendly R2R Process for Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells via DMF‐Free Cosolvent Ink

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
A DMF‐free two‐step slot‐die coating process for roll‐to‐roll fabrication of perovskite solar cells is demonstrated using a DMSO:ACN cosolvent system. The process enables controlled porous PbI2 formation and efficient FAI conversion, resulting in high‐quality perovskite films with 15.84% efficiency on flexible substrates and offering a scalable ...
