Quality Thresholds for Angiogenesis Under Acoustic Manipulation in Engineered Vascular Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Defined biological and physical quality thresholds achieved through acoustic manipulation regulate cellular alignment and spatial organization, promoting self‐assembling vasculature, extracellular matrix deposition, and angiogenic responses, thereby establishing critical acoustic patterning requirements for engineered vascular tissue development in ...

SPICE‐Compatible Compact Modeling of Cuprate‐Based Memristors Across a Wide Temperature Range

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A physics‐guided compact model for YBCO memristors is introduced, incorporating carrier trapping, field‐induced detrapping, and a differential balance equation to describe their switching dynamics. The model is compared with experiments and implemented in LTspice, allowing realistic circuit‐level simulations.

The HTS-2008 System: Yet Another Evaluation of the Speaker-Adaptive HMM-based Speech Synthesis System in The 2008 Blizzard Challenge [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
For the 2008 Blizzard Challenge, we used the same speaker-adaptive approach to HMM-based speech synthesis that was used in the HTS entry to the 2007 challenge, but an improved system was built in which the multi-accented English average voice model was ...

Topological Properties of International Commodity Market: How Uncertainty Affects the Linkages?

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The study aims to explore the network topology of the international commodity market by examining the interconnections among 21 commodity futures across various categories, including energy, precious and industrial metals, and agriculture. We analyze the market structure of these commodity futures under both low and high uncertainty conditions

Comparison of dimensional changes in LHTGR graphites by irradiation in the HFIR (capsules HT-20, HT-21, HT-22, and HT-23) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
HTGR fuel element block candidate graphites H-327, H-451, and TS-1240 and two experimental laboratory-prepared graphites, H451L and ''X,'' were irradiated isothermally at about 1226 K in the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) to HTGR end-of-life fluences of approximately 8 x 10/sup 25/ n/m/sup 2/ (E >29fJ)/sub HTGR/ to compare dimensional changes ...

Accelerating Primary Screening of USP8 Inhibitors from Drug Repurposing Databases with Tree‐Based Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study introduces a tree‐based machine learning approach to accelerate USP8 inhibitor discovery. The best‐performing model identified 100 high‐confidence repurposable compounds, half already approved or in clinical trials, and uncovered novel scaffolds not previously studied. These findings offer a solid foundation for rapid experimental follow‐up,

Toward Predictable Nanomedicine: Current Forecasting Frameworks for Nanoparticle–Biology Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Predictive models successfully screen nanoparticles for toxicity and cellular uptake. Yet, complex biological dynamics and sparse, nonstandardized data limit their accuracy. The field urgently needs integrated artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems biology, and open‐access data protocols to bridge the gap between materials science and safe ...
