Rectilinear minimax hub location problems
Journal of Geographical Systems, 2009The minimax hub location problem sites a facility to minimize the maximum weighted interaction cost between pairs of fixed nodes. In this paper, distances are represented by a rectilinear norm and may be suited to factory layout or street network problems.

Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, 2019
Abstract This paper introduces the green hub location problem that finds the best locations for hubs, assignments of demand nodes to these hubs and speed of trucks/flights so as to route the demand between any origin-destination pairs. The aim of the service provider is to minimize the total amount of emissions that depends on vehicle speed and ...

Capacity selection for hubs and hub links in hub location problems
International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management, 2015Hub location problems occur mainly in transportation and telecommunications networks. A hub is a transfer point at which either traffic from several origins is added up and forwarded to another hub, or disaggregated into several streams that are forwarded to their destinations.

A Note on “The Latest Arrival Hub Location Problem”
Management Science, 2004Kara and Tansel (Management Science, Volume 47, 2001, 1408–1420) introduce the latest arrival hub location problem as a more realistic way of modeling cargo delivery. The key feature of the new model is that each link in the network is served by a single vehicle that makes exactly one trip.
