Empirical Calibration of Hubble Space Telescope WFPC2 F606W and F814W Photometry [PDF]
Using the ground-based V and I photometry of a sample of stars from the Groth Strip, we obtain the first empirical calibration of the F606W and F814W Hubble Space Telescope WFPC2 filters for 0.5

Hubble Space Telescope Imaging of the Young Planetary Nebula GL 618 [PDF]
We present narrow-band Hubble Space Telescope images of the young planetary nebula GL 618. These images have allowed us to study the detailed morphology of shock-excited emission present in the bipolar lobes of this object. These images reveal the presence of three highly collimated outflows emanating from the central regions of GL 618.

The Leakage of Lyman-continuum Photons from a Major Merger at z ∼ 1
We report the detection of Lyman-continuum (LyC) photons from a massive interacting system at z = 1.097 in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field. The LyC detection is made in the far-ultraviolet F154W band of the UVIT telescope on board AstroSat.

Type Ia supernovae and the acceleration of the universe: results from the ESSENCE Supernova Survey [PDF]
The ESSENCE project was a six year supernova search carried out with the CTIO 4-m telescope. We also obtained spectra with many of the world's largest ground-based telescopes and observed some of our SNe with the Hubble Space Telescope and the Spitzer Space Telescope. We achieved our goal of discovering over 200 Type Ia SNe in the redshift range 0.2 to

The age of the universe, the Hubble constant, the accelerated expansion and the Hubble effect [PDF]
The idea of an accelerating universe comes almost simultaneously with the determination of Hubble's constant by one of the Hubble Space Telescope Key Projects. The age of the universe dilemma is probably the link between these two issues. In an appendix, I claim that "Hubble's law" might yet to be investigated for its ultimate cause, and suggest the ...

The Tip of the Red Giant Branch Distance Ladder and the Hubble Constant [PDF]
While the tip of the red giant branch (TRGB) has been used as a distance indicator since the early 1990's, its application to measure the Hubble Constant as a primary distance indicator occurred only recently. The TRGB is also currently at an interesting crossroads as results from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) are beginning to emerge.
