The Leakage of Lyman-continuum Photons from a Major Merger at z ∼ 1

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We report the detection of Lyman-continuum (LyC) photons from a massive interacting system at z = 1.097 in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field. The LyC detection is made in the far-ultraviolet F154W band of the UVIT telescope on board AstroSat.

HSTDEK: Developing a methodology for construction of large-scale, multi-use knowledge bases [PDF]

open access: yes
The primary research objectives of the Hubble Space Telescope Design/Engineering Knowledgebase (HSTDEK) are to develop a methodology for constructing and maintaining large scale knowledge bases which can be used to support multiple applications.

Time-resolved Hubble Space Telescope UV Observations of an X-Ray Quasiperiodic Eruption Source

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
X-ray quasiperiodic eruptions (QPEs) are a novel mode of variability in nearby galactic nuclei whose origin remains unknown. Their multiwavelength properties are poorly constrained, as studies have focused almost entirely on the X-ray band.

The Black Hole Mass of Abell 1836-BCG and Abell 3565-BCG

open access: yes, 2007
Two brightest cluster galaxies (BCGs), namely Abell 1836-BCG and Abell 3565-BCG, were observed with the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) and the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) on board the Hubble Space Telescope.
