A Display Calibration Technique based on Invariant Human Colour Mechanisms

open access: yes, 2005
When human observers are asked to adjust a coloured light such that it appears neither red nor green, or such that it appears neither yellow nor blue, most colour-normal observers have no difficulty in making these adjustments.

"Tilt" in color space: Hue changes induced by chromatic surrounds.

open access: yesJournal of Vision, 2015
The perceived color of a chromatic stimulus is influenced by the chromaticity of its surround. To investigate these influences along the dimension of hue, we measured hue changes induced in stimuli of different hues by isoluminant chromatic surrounds ...

Thermo‐Fluorescent Bactericidal Quantum Dots Based Smart Multifunctional Textiles via Molecular Surface Engineering and 3D‐Printed Interlocked Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A versatile approach is presented for fabricating smart multifunctional textiles by integrating thermo‐fluorescent carbon dot/polymer nanocomposite coatings with 3D‐printed interlocked architectures. The fabrics exhibit temperature‐responsive fluorescence, durable hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial and antioxidant activity, and enhanced UV protection.

Estimating light interception using the color attributes of digital images of cotton canopies

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture, 2017
Crop growth and yield depend on canopy light interception (LI). To identify a low-cost and relatively efficient index for measuring LI, several color attributes of red-green-blue (RGB), hue-saturation-intensity (HSI), hue-saturation-value (HSV) color ...
