A generalization of Hukuhara difference for interval and fuzzy arithmetic [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a generalization of the Hukuhara difference. First, the case of compact convex sets is examined; then, the results are applied to generalize the Hukuhara difference of fuzzy numbers, using their compact and convex level-cuts.

Optimal decision making, using interval uncertainty techniques, of a production-inventory model under warranty-linked demand and carbon tax regulations

open access: yes, 2023
The concepts of generalized Hukuhara difference and interval differential equation play important role in the theory of interval uncertainty. These concepts have many applications in different branches of research, viz.

The Investigation of Some Essential Concepts of Extended Fuzzy‐Valued Convex Functions and Their Applications

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
In this paper, we are thus motivated to define and introduce the extended fuzzy‐valued convex functions that can take the singleton fuzzy values −∞˜ and +∞˜ at some points. Such functions can be characterized using the notions of effective domain and epigraph.

Usage of the Fuzzy Adomian Decomposition Method for Solving Some Fuzzy Fractional Partial Differential Equations

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
In this study, we examine the numerical solutions of nonlinear fuzzy fractional partial differential equations under the Caputo derivative utilizing the technique of fuzzy Adomian decomposition. This technique is used as an alternative method for obtaining approximate fuzzy solutions to various types of fractional differential equations and also ...

Fuzzy-Valued Functions Calculus Through Midpoint Representation

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we are concerned with the calculus for fuzzy-valued functions of a single real variable when the adopted representation is the midpoint-radius; in particular, we extend the well-known LU-order to the more general case of the so-called γ ...

Some New Variants of Hermite–Hadamard and Fejér‐Type Inequalities for Godunova–Levin Preinvex Class of Interval‐Valued Functions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
The theory of inequalities is greatly influenced by interval‐valued concepts, and this contribution is explored from several perspectives and domains. The aim of this note is to develop several mathematical inequalities such as Hermite–Hadamard, Fejér, and the product version based on center radius CR‐order relations.

Interval Type-2 Gaussian Fuzzy Games: Energy Sharing in Distributed Systems with Electric Vehicle Integration under Uncertainty

open access: yesJournal of ICT
Fuzzy cooperative games using Type-1 fuzzy numbers are commonly applied to model vagueness and imprecision in coalition values and player allocations. However, such models are less effective in capturing increased imprecision.

A novel method for solving fuzzy parabolic PDE by using the SG-Hukuhara differentiability [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, the method of Crank-Nicolson is proposed for approximating the solution of  a fuzzy parabolic PDE by applying the subject of  SG-Hukuhara differentiability where the initial and boundary conditions are fuzzy numbers.
