Degradation Mechanism of Phosphate‐Based Li‐NASICON Conductors in Alkaline Environment
The presence of water in the cathode of a Li‐air battery shifts reactions to produce LiOH, creating a corrosive, alkaline environment. This study investigates the alkaline stability of the common Li‐NASICON solid‐state conductor chemistries through a systematic experimental study combined with computational modeling to understand the degradation ...

Abstract The Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 had profound consequences for the global economy. As both countries are major commodity exporters, the food value chain was also affected. This study investigates the impact of the invasion on stock prices, profitability and sentiments of agribusinesses along the food supply chain by using an ...

ABSTRACT The US hemp market is a new and nascent industry that has been devoid of research for about half a century. This study examined the effects of exogenous shock on price at each phase of the value chain—Farm (hemp biomass), and its impact on prices at other phases of the value chain—Intermediary Processor (crude cannabidiol hemp) and Final ...

We investigate MACE‐MP‐0 and M3GNet, two general‐purpose machine learning potentials, in materials discovery and find that both generally yield reliable predictions. At the same time, both potentials show a bias towards overstabilizing high energy metastable states. We deduce a metric to quantify when these potentials are safe to use.

CFD Analysis on the Bare Hull Form of Submarines for Minimizing the Resistance
In this paper, a CFD analysis on the bare hull form of submarines or torpedoes for minimizing the resistance is represented. There are several parameters in submarine form design which the most important parameter is resistance.

Ottoman-Flagged Ships, 1830s–1860s: Hull, Rig, and Geography
This paper presents major hull and rig types among Ottoman-flagged merchant ships from the 1830s to the 1860s and discusses the effects of nautical and climatic conditions on the physical features of merchant ships. The statistics demonstrate that brigs,

Combining machine learning and probabilistic statistical learning is a powerful way to discover and design new materials. A variety of machine learning approaches can be used to identify promising candidates for target applications, and causal inference can help identify potential ways to make them a reality.

A novel machine learning approach classifies macrophage phenotypes with up to 98% accuracy using only nuclear morphology from DAPI‐stained images. Bypassing traditional surface markers, the method proves robust even on complex textured biomaterial surfaces. It offers a simpler, faster alternative for studying macrophage behavior in various experimental

A Study on Reduced Wind Drag Acting on the Hull of a River Ship in Headwind Using CFD
The aerodynamic performance of a ship plays a crucial role in determining its efficiency, safety, and economic viability. While traditional ship design has primarily focused on optimizing hull forms to minimize water resistance acting on the hull, recent
