The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Human Cognition as a Foundation for the Emerging Egocentric Interaction Paradigm
This chapter presents an “egocentric interaction paradigm” (EIP) centered on human agents rather than on the notion of user. More specifically, this paradigm is based on perception, action, intention and attention capabilities and limitations of human ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

NOTION OF MEDIATORS IN HUMAN INTERACTION [PDF]
Many types of human interaction are mediated processes. However, regarding the details of human description, the mediating unit structure and dynamics is not developed appropriately. The explicit concentration on mediators contributes to understanding of

Knowledge Distillation-based Transformer for Human-Object Interaction Detection [PDF]
The widely used cross-field star Transformer has achieved good results in detecting Human-Object Interaction (HOI). This study proposes a new Transformer network, Knowledge Distillation-based Transformer (KDT), for HOI detection.

Improving the resolution of interaction maps: A middleground between high-resolution complexes and genome-wide interactomes [PDF]
Protein-protein interactions are ubiquitous in Biology and therefore central to understand living organisms. In recent years, large-scale studies have been undertaken to describe, at least partially, protein-protein interaction maps or interactomes for a
