The Anatomy of the Human Genome
Hospital Practice, 1980Although perhaps only 1% of the human genome has been mapped, the clinical yield is already quite impressive. This yield includes the ability to palliate some genetic diseases pharmacologically or by environmental manipulation. We can also derive critical information on which to base decisions on termination of pregnancy.

The Topographic Anatomy of Human Skin
Archives of Dermatology, 1964A plastic impression technique was used to study the surface of the skin. Regional, age, and sex differences are described. Atypical patterns were most often seen in infants and adults over 45 years of age. Individual variation was greatest in patterns obtained from the face.

Anatomy and anthropometry of human stapes
American Journal of Otolaryngology, 2008Twelve human stapes from temporal bones fixed by formalin were extracted. Different dimensions were measured by an electronic microscope with an accuracy of microm. These dimensions were as follows: (1) maximum diameter of stapes head parallel to the axis of footplate, 1088 microm (range, 857-1277 microm); (2) distance of main nutritional foramen to ...

Anatomy of the human corneal innervation
Experimental Eye Research, 2010The anatomy of the human corneal innervation has been the subject of much investigation; however, a comprehensive description remains elusive. The purpose of the present study was to provide a detailed description of the human corneal innervation using a novel approach involving immunohistochemically stained anterior-cornea whole mounts.

Structure and Anatomy of the Human Pericardium
Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases, 2017The normal gross anatomy and light microscopy of the human pericardium are presented in detail that allows easy correlation with current cardiac imaging modalities. The anatomical structures of the parietal pericardium are shown from its mediastinal surface, including its ligaments to the sternum, diaphragm and vertebral column.

Functional anatomy of the human vagina.
Journal of endocrinological investigation, 2003Anatomy studies normally precede physiology. While the anatomy of the penis and the biochemical and molecular regulation of erection are largely known, the exact anatomical description of the human clitoris was produced in 1998, the taxonomy of female sexual dysfunctions classified in 1999, and biochemistry of female excitation described only in 2002 ...
