Sampling Behavior of the Human Process Monitor

Proceedings of the Human Factors Society Annual Meeting, 1978
This experimental study compared the actual sampling behavior of the human process monitor with that of an optimal dynamic decision model. One experiment involved a passive monitoring task, while another experiment also required the subjects to perform digital control actions in a compensatory control mode.

Supporting ED Process Redesign by Investigating Human Behaviors

2019
Human behaviors play a very relevant role in many Knowledge-Intensive Processes (KIPs), as healthcare processes, where the human factors are predominantly involved. Accordingly, health process performances, and particularly patient satisfaction, are highly affected by practitioners’ behaviors and interactions.

Vision-based modeling of human behavior in production process

2009 2nd Conference on Human System Interactions, 2009
This paper proposes a vision-based human modeling by using both analytical property of human body performance and the concurrent gaze pattern for production process. Authors developed two systems required for 3D motion analysis: Firefly Capturing Camera (FCC) characterized by the monocular camera with large spherical aberration of lens measures the 3D ...

Human Behavior Process in Train Station Fire Emergency Evacuation

Logistics, 2009
Railway station is a public place accumulated with thousands of passengers in China. It is every dangerous in case of fire. In this paper we study human emergency evacuation processes for making optimal emergency plan or importing new ideas in designing new stations. According to the human's different roles, this paper separate the people in the railway

Four Processing Modes of in situ Human Behavior

2011
Human behavior is considered as a series of moment by moment decision-makings in the ever-changing environment. Each decision-making process is carried out by System 1 and System 2 of Two Minds [3] under real time constraints, which basically requires synchronization between the workings of System 1 and System 2 in the real world by taking into account

Perceptual and Cognitive Processes in Human Behavior

2016
In this chapter, major models of perception and cognition are reviewed with a focus on human information processing and some related research paradigms. The main focus is on the psychological models of perception and cognition that experimental psychology has developed to explicate the psychological functions of human information processing.

Based on Human Behavior Process of Human Error Defensive Management Research for NPP

Volume 1: Operations and Maintenance, Engineering, Modifications, Life Extension, Life Cycle and Balance of Plant; I&C, Digital Controls, and Influence of Human Factors, 2017
According to the research of nuclear power plant human error management, it is found that the traditional human error management are mainly based on the result of human behavior, the event as the point cut of management, there are some drawbacks. In this paper, based on the concept of the human performance management, establish the defensive human ...

Specifying Flexible Human Behavior in Interaction-Intensive Process Environments

2014
Fast changing business environments characterized by unpredictable variations call for flexible process-aware systems. The BPM community addressed this challenge through various approaches but little focus has been on how to specify (respectively constrain) flexible human involvement: how human process participants may collaborate on a task, how they ...

Control of Human Behavior, Mental Processes, and Consciousness

2013
In this book, an international group of leading scientists present perspectives on the control of human behavior, awareness, consciousness, and the meaning and function of perceived control or self-efficacy in people's lives. The book breaks down the barriers between subdisciplines, and thus constitutes an occasion to reflect on various facets of ...
