Human Body Impedance Modelling for ESD simulations
2018 40th Electrical Overstress/Electrostatic Discharge Symposium (EOS/ESD), 2017Motivated by understanding the ESD-induced currents from body-worn, wire and hose connected medical equipment is exposed to, a computer simulation is presented to estimate the impedance of a human body relative to ground. This 3D model is the basis for transient field calculation.

Human Body Modelling for Wireless Body Area Network Optimization
2020 14th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), 2020In the paper two simplified models of human body dedicated for the automated optimization of wireless body area networks are presented. First model maps the fragment of the body and allows to simulate impedance mismatch of wearable antennas. This model was used in the optimization process of a wearable antenna to reduce the simulation time in each ...

Mathematical Human Body Modelling for Impact Loading
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Mathematical modelling of the human body is widely used for automotive crash-safety research and design. Simulations have contributed to a reduction of injury numbers by optimisation of vehicle structures and restraint systems.

Human body model response to mechanical impulse
Medical Engineering & Physics, 1997Despite our understanding of the importance of falling, previous studies have ignored the effects of falls from standing height. In this article, lumped parameter linear and nonlinear models of a standing human have been used to simulate the impact response of the body segments due to inputs at the shoes.

Automated identification of human-body model parameters
International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 2016The paper presents the exploitation of a lowest-order algorithm of evolutionary computing (EStra) for identifying the parameters of a simplified human body model (phantom). A simplified model is well suited in view of the computationally-expensive field simulation of wearable antennas located in a close proximity to the human body.

On‐body radio channel modeling for different human body models using FDTD techniques
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2009AbstractThis articlepresents an on‐body radio channel modeling at 900MHz using the FDTD technique. The modification of antennas parameters when they are close to the body or directly on the body is analyzed. Then, the influence of the morphology on the propagation is studied; SAR and channel parameters are also extracted. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Unsupervised construction of human body models
Cognitive Systems Research, 2018Abstract Unsupervised learning of a generalizable model of the visual appearance of humans from video data is of major importance for computing systems interacting naturally with their users and others. We propose a step towards automatic behavior understanding by making the posture estimation cycle more autonomous.

Design Tools: Human Body Modelling
2001In crash safety research and development, like in many other engineering disciplines, a strong increase could be observed during the last thirty years in the use of computer simulations. This is due in part to the fast developments in computer hardware and software, but in case of automotive safety, probably even more due to emphasis which has been ...
