Morpho-Mechanical Mapping of Human Dura Mater Microstructure
The human dura mater is known to impact vastly traumatic brain injury mechanopathology. In spite of this involvement, dura mater is typically neglected in computational and physical human head models. The lack of location-dependent microstructural and related mechanical data of dura mater may be considered a rationale behind this simplification.

DUROPLASTY: REVIEW OF MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
In most cases, a dura mater defect is the result of a traumatic brain injury. Traumatic brain injury is an important issue, both medically and socio-economically, as it is accompanied by significant mortality and disability of patients of working age ...

The collagenic architecture of human dura mater [PDF]
Object Human dura mater is the most external meningeal sheet surrounding the CNS. It provides an efficient protection to intracranial structures and represents the most important site for CSF turnover. Its intrinsic architecture is made up of fibrous tissue including collagenic and elastic fibers that guarantee the maintenance of its biophysical ...

Glucose and Mannitol Diffusion in Human Dura Mater [PDF]
An in vitro experimental study of the control of the human dura mater optical properties at administration of aqueous solutions of glucose and mannitol has been presented. The significant increase of the dura mater optical transmittance under action of immersion liquids has been demonstrated.
