Systems Pharmacology Investigation of Phytochemicals From Scilla peruviana L.: Integrated Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry Profiling, Network Pharmacology, and Molecular Docking Reveal Potential Anti‐Inflammatory Mechanisms

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 11, November 2026.
This study aims to characterize the volatile and fatty acid constituents of Scilla peruviana and investigate their potential anti‐inflammatory mechanisms. Volatile compounds are identified by headspace solid‐phase microextraction (HS‐SPME) coupled with GC–MS, whereas fatty acids are analyzed by GC–MS following derivatization.

Rationale for Recommending Varicella Vaccination Into the Swedish National Immunisation Programme

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, Volume 115, Issue 11, Page 2460-2465, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Under Swedish law, a vaccination may be included in the National Immunisation Programme (NIP) if it effectively prevents transmission in the population, is cost‐effective and aligns with ethical and humanitarian principles. The Public Health Agency of Sweden (PHAS) evaluated these criteria for introducing varicella vaccination. Methods The

Trained Immunity in Childhood Vaccination

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, Volume 115, Issue 11, Page 2402-2413, November 2026.
Trained immunity as an emerging concept in paediatric vaccinology. Trained immunity links vaccine stimuli through epigenetic and metabolic reprogramming to enhanced innate immune cell function, thereby strengthening protection against diverse pathogens while promoting adaptive immune responses through more efficient antigen presentation and co ...

Exploring the Development of Vaccine Platforms, With a Particular Focus on the COVID‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, Volume 115, Issue 11, Page 2421-2426, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Vaccines have been a cornerstone of human health for more than 200 years and one of the most important tools to reduce childhood deaths caused by pathogens. The concept of vaccines is basically to take something safe, make it immunogenic and induce an immune response in the host that will protect it against something dangerous. Live attenuated

Significance of Systemic Immune‐Inflammation and Inflammatory Response Indices in Vestibular Neuritis

open access: yesClinical Otolaryngology, Volume 51, Issue 6, Page 855-860, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the relationship between vestibular neuritis and various systemic inflammatory indices—namely, neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (MLR), systemic immune‐inflammation index (SII), and systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) and the ...
