Immunoglobulin G Levels in Yemeni Preterm Newborns: Infant Factors Predominate

open access: yesReproductive, Female and Child Health, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background IgG levels in preterm infants play a crucial role in response to infection and inflammation. Infectious disease burden in the low‐income countries, such as Yemen, exacerbates the problem. The preterm infant's IgG sources are either maternal or fetal immune system.

Relationships Between European Wildcats and Domestic Cats in an Area of Sympatry: Exploring Key Conservation Questions on Hybridization and Disease Transmission

open access: yesAnimal Conservation, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 321-333, June 2026.
We have found evidence of behavioural barriers for both hybridization and disease transmission between European wildcats and domestic cats. This includes hierarchical interspecies exclusion enforced by wildcats, as well as sexual selection exerted by wildcat females.

Prospective study of human herpesvirus 6, human herpesvirus 7, and cytomegalovirus infections in human immunodeficiency virus-positive patients

open access: yes, 1997
Blood samples from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive patients were monitored for cytomegalovirus (CMV), human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6), and HHV-7 by PCR. We detected CMV in 17% of the patients, HHV-6 in 6%, and HHV-7 in 3%.

TNF Pathway‐Mediated Tolerogenic T‐Cell Trajectory Driven by Allergen Immunotherapy

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 6, Page 2184-2197, June 2026.
The study shows that AIT re‐establishes local immune equilibrium by restoring Th17/Treg balance, while circulating Th17 cells remain functionally impaired. The transition from pro‐inflammatory Th17 to regulatory T cell states during AIT identifies Tr17 cells as an intermediate cell population.
