Human mobility is a multidisciplinary field of physics and computer science and has drawn a lot of attentions in recent years. Some representative models and prediction approaches have been proposed for modeling and predicting human mobility. Mobilities and Human Possibility
2020This book brings together mobilities and possibility studies by arguing that the possible emerges in our experience in and through acts of movement : physical, social and symbolic. The basic premise that mobility begets possibility is supported with evidence covering a wide range of geographic and temporal scales. First, in relation to the evolution of

Proceedings of the 16th International Symposium on Spatial and Temporal Databases, 2019
The research field of moving objects has been quite active in the past 20 years. The recording of position data becomes easy and huge amounts of mobile data are collected. Moving objects databases represent time-dependent objects and support queries with spatial and temporal constraints.

It is well accepted that the physical world itself, including communication networks, humans, and objects, is becoming a type of information system. Thus, to improve the experience of individuals, communities, organizations, and societies within such systems, a thorough comprehension of collective intelligence processes responsible for generating ...

HumanS: A Human Mobility Sensing Simulator
2012 5th International Conference on New Technologies, Mobility and Security (NTMS), 2012In this paper, we propose a human mobility sensing system simulator called HumanS. HumanS is a multi-agent simulator that works with geographic information system (GIS). It models realistic movement of pedestrians and behavior of sensors that capture the mobility.

Can the peculiar ‘Japaneseness’ of [Japanese industry’s] success be transferred onto the international scene? There is little doubt that Honda, perhaps even more than some other Japanese companies, may have problems. Can one imagine a white-suited, Honda-style manufacturing operation set up in Peoria?
