Proposed link rates in the human brain

Journal of Neuroscience Methods, 2003
There is increasing experimental evidence that neuronal synchronization is necessary for the large-scale integration of distributed neuronal activity to realize various time-dependent coherent neuronal assemblies in the brain. Phase synchronization seems a promising candidate to quantify the time-dependent, frequency specific, synchrony between ...

Human biological decline and mortality rates

Mechanisms of Ageing and Development, 1997
Intercepts on the x (age)-axis of 107 normalized declining human biological functions were determined and assembled in 3 histograms, being placed in increasing order within each decade (10 year period). The histograms were classed accordingly as they contained properties associated with dividing cells, sensory properties and non-dividing cells ...

Consistency of rating accuracy and rating errors in the judgment of human performance

Organizational Behavior and Human Performance, 1977
Abstract Videotapes were developed depicting persons performing on two jobs. Fourteen expert judges then carefully assigned multidimensional ratings of effectiveness to each performer. Interjudge agreement among the experts was high (median intraclass r = .97), providing indirect validity evidence for these performance judgments and justifying the ...
