Epilepsia, 1991
Summary: The clinical safety of lamotrigine (LTG), assessed in four completed randomized, double‐blind, placebo‐controlled crossover trials and an interim analysis of 27 12‐month open studies, is discussed. LTG was added to existing anti‐epileptic drugs (AEDs) of adult patients with refractory epilepsy, using a twice‐daily regimen.

Companion of the 2020 ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction, 2020
As robots become prevalent, merely thinking of their existence may affect how people behave. When interacting with a robot, people conformed to the robot's answers more than to their own initial response [1]. In this study, we examined how robot affect conformity to other humans.

Human Nutrition: Safety and Risk
Food / Nahrung, 1980AbstractMan has always been existing in an “oecotoxic” environment and he will be existing in the future, though the noxious factors are changing. Today the output of modern chemical industry and its effects on health attract abundant interest. The risks in nutrition derive from imbalanced nutrition, food borne diseases of microbial origin ...

Electromagnetic Fields: Human Safety Issues
Annual Review of Biomedical Engineering, 2002▪ Abstract Most of the recently revised safety standards worldwide are set in terms of internal rates of electromagnetic energy deposition (specific absorption rates or SAR) at radio frequencies (RF) and microwave frequencies, and of induced electric fields or current densities at lower frequencies up to 10 MHz.

Design of off-road vehicles should include an understanding of the operatormachine interface, knowledge of human factors engineering, and integration of safety into the design. When these factors are properly incorporated in design, the operator can perform complex tasks with efficiency, safety, and a minimum of fatigue.

Human Error and Electrical Safety [Electrical Safety]
IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 2016Human error is found to be a contributing factor in many investigations of electrical fatalities, injuries, and incidents. The most common corrective action written in many investigation reports is to increase or improve training. The planned corrective action might be for management to make sure that each worker has read the procedures and is tested ...

Safety Clothing for Human Traffic Obstacles
Ergonomics, 1969Abstract Several fluorescent and non-fluorescent colours are compared to determine which is to be recommended for safety clothing for people who work on or near the road. It was found in a variety of circumstances that fluorescent orange is advisable. Non-fluorescent yellow was found to be better than fluorescent yellow. White is significantly worse as
