Sexing non-adults is a major gap in the methods of palaeodemography; the only methodological basis for filling it is the discriminant analytical assessment of tooth size. A run with a specific Egyptian population revealed an accuracy of 97% in four and 90–95% in another twelve of the sixty-six discriminant functions.
