Modified Yoong Ultrasound‐Guided Rotator Interval Injection for Adhesive Capsulitis: A 2‐Year Follow‐Up

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) in the frozen phase is characterized by thickening of the coracohumeral ligament (CHL) and fibrosis of the subacromial–subdeltoid (SASD) bursa. This study evaluated a modified ultrasound‐guided technique targeting the SASD bursa at the rotator interval, combined with mechanical CHL fenestration and immediate ...

Multiple Intramedullary and Skewer Pin Fixation for Complex Humeral and Femoral Fractures in Cats and Small‐Breed Dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Multiple intramedullary and skewer pin fixation provided satisfactory radiographic healing and functional outcomes in complex humeral and femoral fractures of cats and small‐breed dogs. This technique may represent a practical fixation option in selected clinical cases where conventional fixation methods are technically challenging.

Soft tissue abnormalities in the congenital limb malformation radial dysplasia (RD): Their clinical impact and treatment significance

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 249, Issue 3, Page 457-475, September 2026.
We review the characteristic changes to the limb soft tissue and neurovascular abnormalities that have been described in the congenital limb birth defect, Radial Dysplasia. These include consistent changes in muscle anatomy or absence of specific muscles, persistent median arteries and absent radial arteries and consistent alterations in neural ...

Frequency of arboreality is correlated with longer hand skeletons in Gorilla: Analysis of a new skeletal sample of Bwindi mountain gorillas

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 249, Issue 3, Page 544-564, September 2026.
Variation in arboreality across gorilla populations is associated with systematic differences in manual digital lengths. Using a new dataset of linear metrics from the Bwindi mountain gorillas, we quantify metacarpal and phalangeal lengths in eastern and western gorilla populations across all five rays. Consistent with quantified behavioral differences,
