High‐Resolution Ultrasound of Clinically Relevant Sensory Nerves of the Arm and the Forearm

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, EarlyView.
Technological advancements in ultrasound systems, particularly the development of high‐ and ultra‐high‐frequency transducers, now allow for the detailed evaluation of sub‐millimetric sensory nerves in the upper limb, extending to their distal branches. This provides invaluable insights in patients with suspected neuropathies.

Recovery of the Diaphyseal Fracture of the Humerus by Kinetic Means

open access: yesBulletin of the Transilvania University of Braşov: Series IX Sciences of Human Kinetics, 2023
The article presents the importance of the occurrence of diaphyseal fracture of the humerus, as a common fracture with a percentage of up to 3-5%, and their treated callus rate reaches the threshold of 67% to 98%.

Three in every four systematic reviews and meta‐analyses on concomitant anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and anterolateral complex procedures present at least one type of spin in the abstract

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Spin is a form of bias that misrepresents research findings, potentially influencing clinical decisions and patient care. This meta‐research study evaluates the prevalence and types of spin in abstracts of systematic reviews and meta‐analyses comparing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) with and without lateral extra ...

The presence of spin is commonly found in the abstracts of systematic reviews and meta‐analysis on robotic‐assisted unicompartmental knee arthroplasty

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose As robotic‐assisted unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (RA‐UKA) gains popularity, debate continues over its superiority to conventional UKA (C‐UKA). Systematic reviews and meta‐analyses (SRMAs) have examined this, but concerns exist about spin bias in their abstracts, which can significantly alter perceptions of a treatment's efficacy ...

Isolated Avulsion Fracture of the Lesser Tuberosity of the Humerus: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedics, Trauma and Rehabilitation, 2012
Isolated avulsion fracture of the lesser tuberosity of the humerus is a rare injury. It is easily missed because the fracture is difficult to visualize in routine plain radiographs of the shoulder.

Scapular dyskinesis is common among asymptomatic European basketball players at the professional level

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Scapular dyskinesis (SD) is present in as many as 67%–100% of athletes with shoulder injuries but it is also highly present in many asymptomatic individuals. The aim of the present study was to identify and analyse SD among asymptomatic professional basketball players.

Sterol Metabolism in Ovariectomized Rats: Potential Roles of Campesterol and 4β‐Hydroxycholesterol in Osteoporosis

open access: yesLipids, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Osteoporosis is characterized by low bone mass and microarchitectural deterioration of bone tissue. Lipid metabolism disorders may contribute to osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Phytosterols and oxysterols (OC) are involved in lipid metabolism.

Arthroscopic Reduction and Internal Fixation of Proximal Humerus Greater Tuberosity Fracture

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2020
Proximal humerus fractures are common fractures that may occur after ground level falls or other traumatic events resulting in a direct injury to the shoulder. Depending on the fracture morphology and the age of the patient, anatomic reduction can vastly
