Membrane Humidifier That Does Not Require Addition of Water

open access: yesMembrane Humidifier That Does Not Require Addition of Water
We developed a new device called "a membrane humidifier" which does not require an external water supply. Fifteen patients inhaled humidified-oxygen from the membrane humidifier and were asked about their subjective impression. The relative humidity of room air and that of humidified-oxygen from the membrane humidifier or a conventional bubble water ...

Self‐Healing Hydrogel‐Enabled Modular Assembly of Bilayered Skin Construct for Hair Follicle Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐healing assembly of two cell‐laden hydrogel layers creates a biomimetic skin construct that restores both dermal and epidermal functions, resulting in accelerated wound healing and enhanced hair follicle regeneration in a full‐thickness skin wound model. ABSTRACT Alopecia remains a pervasive clinical challenge, largely owing to the limited ability

Near‐Infrared Light‐Activated Polydopamine Nanoparticles Conjugated With Transferrin Peptides for Enhanced Brain Accumulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Tf‐PDA NPs combine a receptor‐mediated targeting with mild photothermal activation to enhance nanoparticle accumulation in the brain. NIR‐activated Tf‐PDA NPs increase BBB permeability to NPs in vitro and in vivo without inducing cytotoxicity or adverse immune responses.

Lignin Mimicking Protein Methylation Augments the Efficacy of FOLFOX Chemotherapy by Anchoring Thymidylate Synthase

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Lignin‐mimicking protein methylation can enhance the efficacy and mitigate the toxicity of the classic FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen. ABSTRACT FOLFOX has served as the standard chemotherapy regimen for advanced stages, specifically in the treatment of pancreatic, colorectal, and bladder cancers.
