Improvement of central retinal sensitivity six months after topical isopropyl unoprostone in patients with retinitis pigmentosa

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2013
Aims: Isopropyl unoprostone (IU), a maxi-K channel activator, is used topically to treat glaucoma, and has been reported to have neuroprotective effects on retinal neurons in vitro and in vivo.

Improving Visual Field Examination of the Macula Using Structural Information [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Purpose: To investigate a novel approach for structure-function modeling in glaucoma to improve visual field testing in the macula. Methods: We acquired data from the macular region in 20 healthy eyes and 31 with central glaucomatous damage.

Automated achromatic perimetry

open access: yesOman Journal of Ophthalmology, 2018
Visual field (VF) testing is an important diagnostic tool for Glaucoma. The current gold standard for VF testing is automated perimetry. This article is an attempt to familiarize the reader with components of an achromatic (white on white) automated ...

An Artificial Intelligence Approach to Detect Visual Field Progression in Glaucoma Based on Spatial Pattern Analysis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Purpose: To detect visual field (VF) progression by analyzing spatial pattern changes. Methods: We selected 12,217 eyes from 7360 patients with at least five reliable 24-2 VFs and 5 years of follow-up with an interval of at least 6 months.

Relationship between structural and functional changes in glaucomatous eyes: a multifocal electroretinogram study

open access: yesBMC Ophthalmology, 2021
Background The nasal to temporal amplitudes ratio (N/T) of multifocal electroretinography (mfERG) scans measured within 5° of the macula can be used to detect glaucomatous change.

Comparison of 24-2 Faster, Fast, and Standard Programs of Swedish Interactive Threshold Algorithm of Humphrey Field Analyzer for Perimetry in Patients With Manifest and Suspect Glaucoma

open access: yesJournal of glaucoma, 2020
Supplemental Digital Content is available in the text. Précis: Swedish Interactive Threshold Algorithm (SITA) Faster (SFR) saves considerable test time but needs further amendments for considering it to be an accurate test that can replace SITA Fast (SF)

Clinical evaluation of SITA-standard for Humphrey Field Analyzer.

open access: yesJAPANESE ORTHOPTIC JOURNAL, 2000
