Enzymic Activity and Humus Content in Eastern Siberian Soils

Zentralblatt für Bakteriologie, Parasitenkunde, Infektionskrankheiten und Hygiene. Zweite Naturwissenschaftliche Abteilung: Allgemeine, Landwirtschaftliche und Technische Mikrobiologie, 1973
Summary The enzymic activity in the soil is controlled by many factors, including the organic matter content in the soil. The report contains data on the interrelations of enzymic activity in the soil and humus content. The nature of this relationship is discussed with reference to redoxases and hydrolases of the soil.

Measurement of aquatic humus content by spectroscopic analyses

Water Research, 2000
Abstract To develop a specified method to estimate humus contents in natural fresh waters, the colour of humic water samples was measured for fractionated and original water samples by spectrophotometry. The results were compared to those of the comparator method and they support the use of 400 or 465 nm.

Soil dielectric spectroscopic parameters dependence on humus content

IGARSS 2003. 2003 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37477), 2004
The purpose of this paper is to apply generalized refractive mixing dielectric model (GRMDM) based on the Debye relaxation formula to soils with various humus contents. With this approach, the soil types containing 6.6% and 0.6% of natural humus. Complex dielectric constant or complex refractive index were measured as a function of moisture at the ...
