Changes in wildlife agency trust and perceived risks before and after the discovery of chronic wasting disease in North Dakota

open access: yesWildlife Society Bulletin
Using a pre−post chronic wasting disease (CWD) natural experiment, we compared deer hunters' perceived trust in the North Dakota Game and Fish (NDGF) Department and perceived CWD risks to wildlife and humans before and after the discovery of the disease ...

Diol Chain‐Length Effects in Adipate and Succinate Polyesters for Thermoplastic Polyurethanes

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
This study examines 20 aliphatic polyesters as soft segments for thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU), synthesized from adipic or succinic acid and diols (C2, C3, C4, C5, and C6). A pronounced odd‐even effect shows that even diols crystallize, while odd diols remain amorphous.

Inter‐ and intraspecific variation in theropod dinosaur dental microwear and its palaeoecological implications

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Differences in skull and tooth morphology, stomach contents, and estimated bite force between medium‐to‐large sized (≥100 kg) predatory theropod dinosaurs have long been suspected to correlate with differences in their diets and dietary guilds (e.g., hypercarnivory, piscivory).

Previously undocumented regional variability in crab‐eating macaque skull sexual dimorphism and its implications for biological and morphometric studies

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract In a large sample of adult crab‐eating macaques, we quantified sexual dimorphism in size, shape, and covariance across the whole skull and among anatomical regions of the cranium and mandible. All regions showed significant mean sex differences, but the magnitude of size and shape dimorphism varied substantially.
