Mental health hospitalisations of care‐experienced and general‐population children with chronic conditions: evidence from the Children's Health in Care in Scotland (CHiCS) study, a population‐wide longitudinal study using administrative data

open access: yesChild and Adolescent Mental Health, EarlyView.
Background Care experience and chronic physical conditions in children are associated with an increased risk of mental health (MH) problems. Spatiotemporal CD8+ T‐Cell Dynamics: Clonal Replacement and Expansion as Determinants of Sustainable Antitumor Response

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Durable antitumor immunity depends on continuous clonal replacement: immune checkpoint inhibitors that drive sustainable, polyclonal mobilization of T‐cell clones from tumor‐draining lymph nodes sustain tumor control, whereas limited, oligoclonal mobilization allows pre‐existing clones to become exhausted, leading to immune escape.

AI‐assisted diagnosis of nail unit melanoma and melanonychia using a clinical deep learning model

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background and objectives Nail unit melanoma (NUM) is a rare but potentially fatal malignancy often misdiagnosed as melanonychia. Because biopsy may cause permanent nail dystrophy, accurate noninvasive diagnosis is essential. This study aimed to develop and validate an artificial intelligence model to distinguish NUM from benign melanonychia ...

Chd4 and ThPOK cooperate to preserve structural and electrophysiological integrity of the adult heart through Sprr1a repression

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Chd4/NuRD and ThPOK cooperate to maintain transcriptional repression and nuclear organization in adult cardiomyocytes. Chd4 loss reduces miR‐150‐5p, relieving repression of Sprr1a, while ThPOK loss further enhances Sprr1a activation, possibly through altered chromatin–lamina interactions.
