Effects of rapid decompression on HUVECs in vitro.
Undersea & hyperbaric medicine : journal of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, Inc, 2017To explore the possible effects of rapid decompression on the activity and function of vascular endothelial cells in vitro.Human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) cultures were exposed at 7 atmospheres absolute (atm abs) air for two hours before decompression.

[Effects of EMPs on HUVECs' functions in vitro].
Zhonghua yi xue za zhi, 2011To investigate the effects of EMPs on HUVECs permeability in vitro, then evaluate the effect on the Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head.Incubate HUVECs with EMPs which is released by HUVECs in vitro, then estimate the endothelial permeability.Flow cytometry analysis showed that EMPs were released at maximum concentration(7.66 × 10(4)/ml) after 24 hours ...

The Association Between Telomere Length and Sensitivity to Apoptosis of HUVEC
2009To study the association between the mean telomere length (MTL) of human umbilical endothelial cells (HUVEC) and their sensitivity to apoptosis.Apoptosis of HUVEC was induced by using free hydroxyl radicals. The rate of apoptosis was determined and mean telomere length of HUVEC that were cultured for 1 or 3 months were measured by Southern Blot.At 0.2 ...

The extracellular matrix (ECM) structure of the three-dimensional (3D) network of cells in body play an important role in cellular events. Cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions can be achieved in 3D cell culture systems as in vivo systems. For this reason, the loss of cell functions is less in 3D cultures than in two dimensional systems.

Connected culture of murine hepatocytes and HUVEC in a multicompartmental bioreactor.
Tissue engineering. Part A, 2009A multicompartmental bioreactor was conceived and designed to mimic cross talk between cells in different culture chambers connected only by flow, such that cell-cell interaction is mediated by soluble ligands as occurs in the body. The system was tested with a connected culture of murine hepatocytes and human umbilical vein endothelial cells ...
