[Darunavir in HIV/HVC/HVB coinfection].

Enfermedades infecciosas y microbiologia clinica, 2009
Darunavir/ritonavir is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral drugs for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in pre-treated adult patients. In hepatitis B or C co-infected patients, the virological response rate to darunavir/ritonavir appeared to be unaffected and, except for increased liver enzymes, the incidence of adverse events was not ...

HVC interneurons are not renewed in adult male zebra finches

European Journal of Neuroscience, 2007
AbstractAdult neurogenesis is a widespread phenomenon in many species, from invertebrates to humans. In songbirds, the telencephalic region, high vocal center (HVC), continuously integrates new neurons in adulthood. This nucleus consists of a heterogenous population of inhibitory interneurons (HVCIN) and two populations of projection neurons that send ...

Ionized Gas Associated with HVCs

2004
The study of emission lines from HVCs is yielding new information on their basic properties as well as on the properties of their environment. Such studies are also providing new insights into the location, origin, and role in the Galaxy of the HVCs. Very sensitive velocity-resolved measurements of Hα now exist for many HVCs, including the Magellanic ...

[Correlation between hepatitis C virus (HVC) RNA and anti-HVC antibodies in a hemodialysis population].

Revue francaise de transfusion et d'hemobiologie : bulletin de la Societe nationale de transfusion sanguine, 1994
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was applied to detect HCV-RNA in 75 hemodialyzed patients. Anti-HCV status was determined by ELISA-2 and by RIBA-2 for reactive samples by ELISA. ALT levels were monthly determined during the year preceding the end of the study.

HVCS Related to the Magellanic System

2004
This chapter provides a review of the observational and theoretical results on the HVCs known to have originated from the interaction of the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds with each other and the Milky Way. The neutral hydrogen observations of the Magellanic Bridge, Magellanic Stream, and Leading Arm are summarized and related to the optical and ...

The Ca+ abundance of HVC complex C

Astronomy & Astrophysics, 1996
We report the first detection of Ca II H and K absorption in the high-velocity cloud complex C, the largest HVC. Absorption is detected in the spectra of the quasar PG 1351+640 and of the Seyfert galaxy Mark 290, at velocities of -163 and -137 km/s (set: Fig. 2).

[Ocular bartonellosis in an HIV-HVC coinfected patient].

Medecine et maladies infectieuses, 2008
Bartonella henselae is the etiologic agent of the cat scratch disease and in immunocompromised patients, of bacillary angiomatosis and peliosis hepatis. Less often, ocular complications associated with B. henselae infection have been reported in immunocompetent patients and five times in HIV-infected patients. We report the case of a 42-year-old woman,

THE SPIN TEMPERATURE OF HVC 131+1-200

Astronomy & Astrophysics, 1991
High-resolution Westerbork H I observations have been used to search for 21 cm absorption due to high-velocity clouds (HVCs) in spectra of continuum sources. Two absorption features were found in HVC 131 + 1 - 200, at the five and three delta-level. The derived spin temperature is of the order of 50 K. The two continuum sources were not identified with
