From recognition to response: integrated signaling pathways determining pollen acceptance and rejection in Brassicaceae

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 2, Page 788-798, April 2026.
Summary Generation of competent offspring is vital for the prosperity of flowering plants. The pistil not only functions as a conduit for pollen tubes to grow to the ovary but also provides a selective venue for facilitating the growth of compatible pollen tubes and discouraging invaders and incompatible pollen.

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 21, 12 March 2026.
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

Hvis krigen kommer

open access: yesKulturstudier, 2020

Ineffectiveness of foliar nutrient sprays on cotton lint yield after riverine flooding

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Irrigated Australian cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) is primarily produced on Vertosols, which are susceptible to waterlogging due to their highwater retention capacity and poor drainage. Waterlogging inhibits root growth and depletes soil oxygen, resulting in changes to soil pH, redox, and nutrient availability. Australian cotton farmers often

Mann Hybrid Deepest-Descent Extragradient Method with Line-Search Process for Hierarchical Variational Inequalities for Countable Nonexpansive Mappings

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2023
In real Hilbert spaces, let the CFPP indicate a common fixed-point problem of asymptotically nonexpansive operator and countably many nonexpansive operators, and suppose that the HVI and VIP represent a hierarchical variational inequality and a ...

Evaluating selected skip‐row planting patterns for upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) in North Carolina

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Input costs associated with cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) production systems have increased exponentially in recent years, prompting interest for innovative cost‐saving methods, such as alternative row configurations. The objective of this study was to evaluate the ability of various skip‐row systems to achieve similar, or greater, net ...

Transcriptional Regulation of SWEET15_A01 by MYB44/bHLH3 Modulates Carbon Allocation in Cotton Ovule and Fibre to Affect Seed and Fibre Traits

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 3, Page 1769-1791, March 2026.
ABSTRACT The allocation of carbon sources between cotton ovule and fibre significantly influences the yield and quality of seed and fibre. SWEET15 (Sugars Will Eventually be Exported Transporter 15) plays a key role in sucrose transport; however, the transcriptional regulation of SWEET15 in cotton remains unclear.
