Uncovering the Diversity of Mesostoinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae): A Glimpse Into the Australian Fauna Through a Study of Kangaroo Island

open access: yesAustral Entomology, Volume 65, Issue 4, November 2026.
ABSTRACT The Mesostoinae are a poorly understood braconid subfamily with unresolved morphological challenges and a complex taxonomic history. This study provides insight into the biodiversity of this subfamily on Kangaroo Island (KI), South Australia.

Immunonutritional Effects of Nucleotides and Olive Bioactive Extracts on Growth Performance and Survival of Pacific White Shrimp Upon Vibrio parahaemolyticus (AHPND) Challenge

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT The sustainable advancement of aquaculture can be supported using functional feed ingredients with immunomodulatory activity. These studies evaluated the immunonutritional effects of dietary nucleotides (NU) and an olive bioactive extract (OE) in Pacific white shrimp (PWS), Penaeus vannamei. A 56‑day growth trial (n = 1000 PWS; PL42‐43; 1.23 ±

The use of PLDLA/PCL-T scaffold to repair osteochondral defects in vivo

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2013
The physiological repair of osteochondral lesions requires the development of a scaffold that is compatible with the structure of the damaged tissue, cartilage and bone.

Histopathologic Analysis of the Morpho‐Functional Zones of the Human Acetabular Labrum

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, Volume 39, Issue 7, Page 787-800, October 2026.
ABSTRACT The structural and functional adaptation of soft tissues to mechanical load controls their ability to withstand injury and influences their capacity for healing. Similar to the knee meniscus, the acetabular labrum exhibits zonal differences in mechanical load distribution, resulting in distinct regions with unique structural and functional ...

Case Report: Pancreatic Paraganglioma Mimicking a Well‐Differentiated Neuroendocrine Tumor: The Importance of Cytokeratin Immunohistochemistry

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, Volume 54, Issue 10, Page E240-E243, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Paragangliomas (PGLs) are uncommon neuroendocrine tumors most commonly found in the head and neck that originate from neural crest cells. Primary pancreatic paraganglioma is exceedingly rare and has largely been described in case reports and small case series. We present the case of a 79‐year‐old woman with an incidental pancreatic head lesion

Lipoid proteinosis

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dermatology, 2006
Lipoid proteinosis, a rare autosomal recessive disorder, results from the deposition of hyaline material in the skin, mucous membrane and different organs of the body resulting in a multitude of clinical manifestations. Here the case of a 12 year old boy,

Early Contributions Leading to Understanding the Significance of Epichloë Endophyte in Temperate Grasses

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 69, Issue 5, October 2026.
The role and use of Epichloë fungal endophytes in grazed temperate grass pastures and turf grasses are now well understood with regard to balancing pasture persistence while minimising animal health and welfare concerns. However, this understanding has only emerged since the early 1980s. Prior to this, although links between Epichloë endophytes, animal

Bilateral Leydig Cell Tumor in a Capuchin Monkey (Sapajus apella): Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Primatology, Volume 55, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Leydig cell tumors (LCTs) are uncommon in nonhuman primates (NHPs). A bilateral LCT was identified in a 20‐year‐old male capuchin monkey (Sapajus apella) maintained under human care. Ultrasonography revealed a right testicular nodule, while necropsy identified bilateral testicular masses. Histopathology confirmed bilateral LCT.

A rare cause of protein-losing enteropathy and growth retardation in infancy: infantile systemic hyalinosis

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Pediatrics, 2003
Infantile systemic hyalinosis is a rare, progressive, fatal condition with a presumably autosomal recessive mode of inheritance. It is characterized by widespread deposition of hyaline material in many tissues.

Evidence for regulation of transpiration in nonstomatal plants: insights from bryophyte gametophytes

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 252, Issue 1, Page 54-68, October 2026.
Kinetics of cell wall water vapor potential (Ψcw) and resistance of cell wall and plasmatic membrane to water flux in response to cytoplasmic water potential (Ψcyt) during dehydration. Ψcyt was calculated from the WC at any moment of the dehydration curve by using the relationship between −1/Ψw and WC of pressure volume curves and assuming Ψw = Ψcyt ...
