Hybrid rice cultivars are widely planted around the world. Here, the authors resequence 1,143 indica accessions, focusing on the parents of superior hybrid rice lines in China, and reveal genetic loci that are associated with heterosis via measuring ...

Hybrid mesons from anisotropic lattice QCD with the clover and improved gauge actions [PDF]
We study hybrid mesons from the clover and improved gauge actions at $\beta=2.6$ on the anisotropic $12^3\times36$ lattice using our PC cluster. We estimate the mass of $1^{-+}$ light quark hybrid as well as the mass of the charmonium hybrid.

Hybridization and extinction [PDF]
AbstractHybridization may drive rare taxa to extinction through genetic swamping, where the rare form is replaced by hybrids, or by demographic swamping, where population growth rates are reduced due to the wasteful production of maladaptive hybrids. Conversely, hybridization may rescue the viability of small, inbred populations.

Quantum gates on hybrid qudits [PDF]
We introduce quantum hybrid gates that act on qudits of different dimensions. In particular, we develop two representative two-qudit hybrid gates (SUM and SWAP) and many-qudit hybrid Toffoli and Fredkin gates.

High efficiency polymer solar cells sensitized by red-emitting ZnCuInS nanoplatelets
We synthesized the two-dimensional Zn–Cu–In–S (ZCIS) semiconductor nanoplatelets and then modified their surface with 4-bromobenzenediazonium tetrafluoroborate. The surface modified ZCIS nanoplatelets were combined with the conventional photovoltaic hole
