Mutation at Different Sites of Metal Transporter Gene OsNramp5 Affects Cd Accumulation and Related Agronomic Traits in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2019
OsNramp5 is a key gene involved in the control of the uptake of Cd, Mn, and other metal ions by rice root cells. The functional deficiency of this gene can significantly reduce the accumulation of Cd in rice grains, but the effects of its mutation on ...

Uncovering ceRNA integrated networks that associate with fertility in a photoperiod and temperature sensitive male sterile wheat line

open access: yesBiotechnology & Biotechnological Equipment, 2021
The pollen fertility of photoperiod/temperature sensitive genic male sterile (P/TGMS) wheat is controlled by light and/or temperature. Circular RNA (circRNA) and long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) are known to participate in the development of anthers in ...

Entanglement dynamics in a quantum-classical hybrid of two q-bits and one oscillator

open access: yes, 2014
We investigate new features, especially of entanglement dynamics, which arise in a quantum-classical hybrid. As a model, we study the coupling between two quantum mechanical two-level systems, i.e. two q-bits, and a classical harmonic oscillator.

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

A complete telomere-to-telomere assembly of Oryza sativa L. subsp. indica Kato T197 genome

open access: yesScientific Data
Here, we report the complete Telomere-to-Telomere (T2T) genome of Oryza sativa L. subsp. indica Kato T197 from China. The 12 chromosomes were assembled employing a length of 395 Mbp, and a G + C content of 43.62% with 0 gap.

A Quadruple Mutant of OsPRP1 Controls Pollen Fertility by Regulating the Expression of Anther Development-Related Genes in Oryza sativa L.

open access: yesAgronomy
Plant proline-rich proteins (PRPs) are cell wall proteins that are widely distributed in plants. Previous studies have shown that these proteins play a crucial role in adversity stress processes, but their function in the regulation of pollen fertility ...

Hybrid Hadronization

open access: yes, 2019
We discuss Hybrid Hadronization, a hadronization model which interpolates between string fragmentation in dilute parton systems and quark recombination in dense parton systems.

Hybrid Decays [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The heavy quark expansion of Quantum Chromodynamics and the strong coupling flux tube picture of nonperturbative glue are employed to develop the phenomenology of hybrid meson decays.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Identification of lncRNAs involved in rice ovule development and female gametophyte abortion by genome-wide screening and functional analysis

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2019
Background As important female reproductive tissues, the rice (Oryza sativa L.) ovule and female gametophyte is significant in terms of their fertility. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important and wide-ranging roles in the growth and development of ...
