Aluminium-Nano Ceria-Fly Ash Hybrid Composite Prepared by High Energy Milling [PDF]
The research work introduces a novel dual-reinforcement aluminium matrix hybrid composite prepared by powder metallurgy route. The aluminium matrix hybrid composites were prepared using nanosize cerium oxide (0.5, 1, and 1.5 wt.%) and fly ash (5 and 10 ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Hybrid Quantum-Classical Master Equations
We discuss hybrid master equations of composite systems which are hybrids of classical and quantum subsystems. A fairly general form of hybrid master equations is suggested, its consistency is derived from the consistency of Lindblad quantum master ...

Compositional abstractions of hybrid control systems
The authors discuss the problem of computing abstraction for hybrid control systems. They propose the notion of abstraction based on the notions of simulation and bisimulation. These notions are presented in a general setting comprising discrete, continuous and hybrid control systems.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.
