Performance of HYBRID fibres in concrete

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021
Abstract In modern world, the usage of Fibre Reinforcement Concrete has become vast in Civil structures. FRC can immunize the Tensile strength of structures with dispersed and scattered fibres. While doing some practical research on concrete which invigorate the fibre development in order to shrinkage, which resulted in fibre reinforced concrete. The

Hybrid FRP-Concrete-Steel Multitube Concrete Columns: Concept and Behavior

Journal of Composites for Construction, 2017
AbstractThis paper presents the conceptual development of a new form of hybrid structural column, termed the hybrid fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP)-concrete-steel multiple-tube concrete column (MTCC...

RUBBERIZED HYBRID FIBRE REINFORCED CONCRETE

2012
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that by using industrial and recycled steel fibres together with recycled rubber, high quality rubberized hybrid fibre reinforced concrete (RHFRC) can be prepared. In such way, environmental and economic savings are provided without significant influence on mechanical and durability properties of concrete.

HYBRID FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE

2007
This paper describes the mechanical performance of hybrid fiber concrete with a maximum fiber dosage of 0.75 Vol.%. Two types of fibers were used: short straight steel fibers and long hooked-end steel fibers. The concrete compressive strength (fc,cub150) varied between 55 and 65 MPa, dependent on the fiber mixture.

Candidate of low carbon economy concrete: Reinforcing recycled concrete via hybrid fibers

Environmental Research
Doping fibers are a highly effective method to rescue the weak mechanical properties of recycled concrete (RC). In this study, a complex three-dimensional network structure was constructed by using the unique arrangement and interweaving of three mixed fibers steel fiber (SF), glass fiber (GF), and coir fiber (CF).

Shear strength of concrete–steel hybrid bridge girders

Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering, 1997
Twenty approximately half-scale elements were tested to investigate the vertical and horizontal shear resistances of a unique hybrid bridge girder consisting of a reinforced concrete web and steel plate flanges. A variety of failure modes were observed in the tests.

Development and Hybridity Made Concrete in the Colonies [PDF]

open access: possibleEnvironment and Planning A: Economy and Space, 2008
The concept of hybridity has been discussed chiefly in relation to cultural issues and interpreted as a challenge to dominant power. It is equally relevant to the interpretation of economic and social change (for example, in the field of international development), while its political significance is properly a subject of investigation.

Stress-strain models for concrete in square hybrid multitube concrete columns

Advances in Structural Engineering
This paper presents the development of stress-strain models for the confined concrete in square fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP)-concrete-steel hybrid multitube concrete columns (MTCCs) subjected to uniaxial compression. A square MTCC consists of a square FRP outer tube and multiple inner steel tubes, with concrete filling the spaces inside all tubes. In
