A hybrid theory of muscle contraction

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1972
Abstract A new theory of muscle contraction is presented which combines the advantages of the crossbridge theories with those of the electrostatic theories. Negatively charged phosphoryl groups are enzymically deposited on the actin filament by crossbridges from the myosin filaments.

Coincidence Theorems for Hybrid Contractions

Mathematische Nachrichten, 1986
Let X denote an arbitrary nonempty set, (M,d) a metric space, and S,T two mappings defined on X and taking values in M. \textit{K. Goebel} [Bull. Acad. Pol. Sci., Sér. Math. Astron. Phys. 16, 733-735 (1968; Zbl 0165.498)] has shown that if T(X) is a complete subspace of M with S(X)\(\subset T(X)\), then the condition d(SxSy)\(\leq kd(TxTy)\) for fixed \

Hybrid contracting within multi-location networks

International Journal of Production Economics, 2013
Abstract The expansion of hybrid organisations during the past 30 years makes the analysis of planning in these organisations indispensable. Hybrid organisations are often applied in food industries or at retailers, which deal with seasonal or perishable goods.

Expansions and contractions of hybrid systems

Proceedings of the 1997 American Control Conference (Cat. No.97CH36041), 1997
Inclusion and extension principles are defined and studied for hybrid systems. The controller design problem for hybrid systems is then considered within the framework of the extension principle. It is shown that if the extension principle is used then any controller designed in the expanded spaces is contractible to the original spaces for ...

HYBRID CONTRACTION IN WEAK PARTIAL METRIC SPACES

jnanabha, 2022
In this paper, a fixed point theorem is established for hybrid contraction in weak partial metric space. Our result is supported by examples.

EMBEDDED DERIVATIVES IN HYBRID CONTRACTS

2020

A hybrid representation model for service contracts

2015 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Research (ICTRC), 2015
The lack of control on personal data/processes and trust in their management by a third party is a well-known problem that limits the success of the cloud computing paradigm. Organizations and final users are increasingly reluctant to move their assets (i.e., services, business data, and personal information) to the cloud, and to participate in an ...

Hybrid contracting in repeated interactions

Many business relationships begin with informal interactions and later transition to formal contracts. Using a repeated-games model with a finite horizon, we show that this hybrid-contracting approach can both prolong cooperation (intensive margin) and enable it across a broader range of settings (extensive margin).
