Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Enhancing CoFe Catalysts with V2CTX MXene‐Derived Materials for Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Combining Spot and Futures Markets: A Hybrid Market Approach to Dynamic Spectrum Access

open access: yes, 2016
Dynamic spectrum access is a new paradigm of secondary spectrum utilization and sharing. It allows unlicensed secondary users (SUs) to exploit opportunistically the under-utilized licensed spectrum.

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Exploring the Lived Experiences of Filipino Smallholder Farmers under Contract Rice Farming within a Neoliberal Context

open access: yesRecoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal
Background: Contract farming is expanding in the Philippines, primarily driven by adopting neoliberal policies. While this model benefits farmers, it also raises significant concerns.

Franchising As Hybrid Organization: Russian Skill [PDF]

open access: yesЖурнал институциональных исследований, 2016
Russia has favorable conditions for development of hybrid cooperation (franchising) on the different markets. On the one hand, as well as for the majority of countries with transition economies many Russian markets has been undersaturated. On the other

Hybrid Contracts according to Islamic Perspective

open access: yesInternational Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences, 2018
To gain a strong position in the banking industry, by meeting a sharia-compliance as well as attractive to customers and be competitive to conventional banks, Islamic banks are extending their products by producing multi-varied contracts or known as “hybrid”.

Defect‐Mediated Scintillation in Fully Inorganic Perovskites via Water‐Induced 0D/3D Phase Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Towards Smart Hybrid Fuzzing for Smart Contracts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Smart contracts are Turing-complete programs that are executed across a blockchain network. Unlike traditional programs, once deployed they cannot be modified.

Coincidences and Fixed Points of Nonself Hybrid Contractions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2001
Let \((X, d)\) be a complete metrically convex metric space, \(K\) a non-empty closed subset of \(X\), \(F, G: K \to CL(X), S, T\) selfmaps of \(K\). The hybrid contractions in this paper satisfy the inequality \(H(Fx, Gy) \leq \alpha d(Tx, Sy) + \beta[d(Tx, Fx) + d(Sy, Gy)] + \gamma[d(Tx, Gy) + d(Sy, Fx)]\) for each \(x,y \in X\), where \(\alpha ...
