Fixed points of \(p\)-hybrid \(L\)-fuzzy contractions

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2021
Summary: In this paper, the notion of \(p\)-hybrid \(L\)-fuzzy contractions in the framework of \(b\)-metric space is introduced. Sufficient conditions for existence of common \(L\)-fuzzy fixed points under such contractions are also investigated. The established ideas are generalizations of many concepts in fuzzy mathematics.

Validating predictions from climate envelope models. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Climate envelope models are a potentially important conservation tool, but their ability to accurately forecast species' distributional shifts using independent survey data has not been fully evaluated.

The generalized U–H and U–H stability and existence analysis of a coupled hybrid system of integro-differential IVPs involving φ-Caputo fractional operators

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
We investigate the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a coupled system of the hybrid fractional integro-differential equations involving φ-Caputo fractional operators.

Hybrid Multivalued Type Contraction Mappings in αK-Complete Partial b-Metric Spaces and Applications

open access: yesSymmetry, 2019
In this paper, we initiate the notion of generalized multivalued ( α K * , Υ , Λ ) -contractions and provide some new common fixed point results in the class of α K -complete partial b-metric spaces.

A Family of Iterative Gauss-Newton Shooting Methods for Nonlinear Optimal Control

open access: yes, 2017
This paper introduces a family of iterative algorithms for unconstrained nonlinear optimal control. We generalize the well-known iLQR algorithm to different multiple-shooting variants, combining advantages like straight-forward initialization and a ...

A Simplified Analysis of Real-time Monitoring of Muscle Contraction during Dynamic Exercise Using an MMG/EMG Hybrid Transducer System

open access: yesAdvanced Biomedical Engineering, 2019
To evaluate muscle function accurately, it is necessary to simultaneously measure electromyogram (EMG) and mechanomyogram (MMG). We have developed an MMG/EMG hybrid transducer system that can simultaneously measure displacement-MMG (dMMG) and EMG, and ...

Transverse contraction criteria for stability of nonlinear hybrid limit cycles [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2014
In this paper, we derive differential conditions guaranteeing the orbital stability of nonlinear hybrid limit cycles. These conditions are represented as a series of pointwise linear matrix inequalities (LMI), enabling the search for stability ...

Fixed points of nonlinear contractions with applications

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2021
The aim of this paper is to initiate a new concept of nonlinear contraction under the name r-hybrid ψ-contraction and establish some fixed point results for such mappings in the setting of complete metric spaces.

Safety and efficacy of robotic elbow training using the upper limb single-joint hybrid assistive limb combined with conventional rehabilitation for bilateral obstetric brachial plexus injury with co-contraction: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Physical Therapy Science, 2019
[Purpose] Obstetric brachial plexus injuries are accompanied by co-contractions due to misdirection of regenerated nerve fibers. The result is inhibition of arm movement necessary for activities of daily living.
