Retrotransposon Expression Is Upregulated in Adulthood and Suppressed during Regeneration of the Limb in the Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum)

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The axolotl's remarkable regenerative abilities decline with age, the causes may include the numerous repetitive elements within its genome. This study uncovers how Ty3 retrotransposons and coexpression networks involving muscle and immune pathways respond to aging and regeneration, suggesting that transposons respond to physiological shifts and may ...

Path Integral Control for Hybrid Dynamical Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This work introduces a novel paradigm for solving optimal control problems for hybrid dynamical systems under uncertainties. Robotic systems having contact with the environment can be modeled as hybrid systems. Controller design for hybrid systems under disturbances is complicated by the discontinuous jump dynamics, mode changes with inconsistent state

Limit theorem for the hybrid joint universality theorem on zeta and $L$-functions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
In 1979, Gonek presented the hybrid joint universality theorem for Dirichlet $L$-functions and proved the universality theorem for Hurwitz zeta-functions with rational parameter as an application. Following the introduction of the hybrid universality theorem, several generalizations, refinements, and applications have been developed.

A Sum-of-Squares Approach to the Analysis of Zeno Stability in Polynomial Hybrid Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Hybrid dynamical systems can exhibit many unique phenomena, such as Zeno behavior. Zeno behavior is the occurrence of infinite discrete transitions in finite time. Zeno behavior has been likened to a form of finite-time asymptotic stability, and corresponding Lyapunov theorems have been developed.

Efficient lattice constants and energy band gaps for condensed systems from a meta-GGA level screened range separated hybrid functional [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
A meta generalized gradient level screened range-separated hybrid functional is developed for solid-state electronic structure theory. Assessment of the present range-separated hybrid functional for solid-state lattice constants and band gaps indicate that the present functional can be used for describing those properties efficiently in meta-GGA level.
